PDL RTS Brings One Man Robotic Total Station
Operation to The Next Level
SANTA CLARA - April 1, 2002 - Pacific
Crest Corporation announces the release of the Positioning Data
Link Robotic Total Station (PDL RTS) wireless modem. The PDL RTS
features a built in UHF transceiver, Li-ion battery pack for 10
hrs of operation, and a multi-protocol modem with data rates up
to 19,200 bits per second. With 1/2 Watt RF output power, the UHF
transceiver is type approved for operation in North America and
Europe. The multi-protocol modem offers packet and transparent
modes of operation, with forward error correction and repeater
technologies.
"The PDL RTS is an integrated solution, which
will eliminate Robotic Total Station system complexity by including
all necessary cables and mounts right onto the pole," remarks
Ron Elkins, Eastern Region Sales Manager. “The PDL RTS form
factor differentiates us from the competition, making it easy for
surveyors to measure terrain by themselves."
The PDL RTS is built on a third generation radio
modem platform that has become the de facto standard in many GPS
applications. Proven reliability and performance make PDL RTS the
best solution for one man Robotic Total Station operation.
