Wireless Data Links

Pacific Crest has introduced a replacement for the PDL LPB and the PDL Rover called the ADL Vantage (Advanced Data Link Vantage). The ADL Vantage’s firmware is completely backward-compatible with all RFM- and PDL-generation radio modems.

The ADL Vantage offers many improvements over the older PDL LPB and the PDL Rover:

  • Field configuration via an LCD/5-button user interface
  • Up to 4 Watts of user-configurable RF output power
  • All models support both 12.5 and 25 kHz channel bandwidth
  • Improved performance from better Forward Error Correction
  • SATEL protocol support and expanded Trimble protocol support

Pacific Crest will continue to accept orders for the PDL LPB and the PDL Rover as long as supplies last, but we can no longer offer extended warranties beyond the standard two-year warranty. Pacific Crest will support the PDL LPB and the PDL Rover for 36 months after sale. This will include both tech support and service but there will not be any more software or firmware updates.
