Trimble Introduces New GNSS Receiver for High-Precision OEM Applications
GNSS Receiver Provides Rapid Implementation of Advanced Positioning Technology
SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 19, 2008 - Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) today introduced the new Trimble® BX960, a real-time kinematic (RTK) GNSS receiver in an environmentally rugged enclosure for OEM or system level integration. Housing the proven Trimble BD960 receiver, the BX960 receiver is designed for integrators who are looking for a complete, box-level solution for their GPS requirements. This solution provides seamless setup and configuration with existing applications.
The announcement was made today at the ION GNSS 2008 Conference.

Available in an easy to integrate, rugged package, the Trimble BX960 is a multi-channel, multi-frequency, OEM GNSS receiver. Harnessing the power of the Trimble BD960 module, OEMs and integrators can rapidly integrate centimeter-level positioning capability into their application. With Ethernet capability, high-speed data transfer and configuration can be accomplished via standard Web browsers. Multiple configurations are available to cover a variety of accuracy and price requirements.
The new embedded solution capitalizes on Trimble's proven positioning technologies. The Trimble BX960 receiver is available with either a single or dual Trimble BD960 OEM GNSS modules. Model BX960 receiver houses a single BD960 module and covers a range of configurations from L1 DGPS to the fully loaded RTK unit tracking GPS L1/L2/L5 and GLONASS L1/L2 signals. Model BX960-2 contains two BD960 modules which allow a Moving Baseline RTK solution to be calculated between two antennas. This produces vector and heading information that address a range of precise navigation applications where both centimeter accurate positions and precise heading are required.
The Trimble BX960 GNSS receiver is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2008. The rugged receiver is managed and distributed worldwide through Pacific Crest, a Trimble Company, through their GNSS OEM Business Unit.
